What is saunagus?
Saunagus is a unique experience that combines traditional sauna with aromatherapy.
In a saunagus session, a Gusmester leads the process where water mixed with essential oils is poured over the hot stones in the sauna. This creates a rich steam that spreads the scent of the oils throughout the room.
Using a towel or fan, the steam is spread around to evenly distribute the heat and aroma for an intense and pleasant sensory experience.
Saunagus is known for its many health benefits, including improving blood circulation, reducing stress and promoting skin elasticity and health.
Experience Saunagus in Copenhagen at Mobilsauna
Saunas have become one of the most popular wellness experiences in Denmark, and for those looking for a relaxing, refreshing and healthy experience, saunas in Copenhagen at Mobilsauna are the perfect option. Mobilsauna offers a unique and mobile saunagus experience in the heart of Copenhagen, at the idyllic Banegaarden.
What is Saunagus?
Saunagus is a traditional sauna experience combined with aromatherapy where a Gus Master guides the session. It is a deeply relaxing experience where essential oils are mixed with water and poured over hot stones. The Gus Master then spreads the steam around the sauna, creating an intense and sensory experience where both the heat and the scent of the oils contribute to relaxation.
This combination of heat and aromatherapy not only promotes relaxation, but also has proven health benefits.
Health benefits of the sauna sessions
Saunas have numerous health benefits, which is one of the reasons why they have become so popular in Copenhagen. Among the most prominent benefits are:
- Improved blood circulation: The heat from the sauna expands blood vessels and improves blood flow.
- Stress reduction: Saunagus helps reduce stress levels by promoting relaxation through the heat and relaxing scents of essential oils.
- Skin care and detox: By opening the pores, saunagus helps cleanse the skin and promote the elimination of toxins.
- Strengthened immune system: Regular sauna use can also boost the immune system.
How does a Saunagus session work?
A saunagus session at Mobilsauna is led by an experienced Shower Master who guides the participants through the entire experience. The shower master pours water mixed with essential oils over hot stones, creating steam that is distributed around the sauna using a towel or fan.
The warm, aromatic steam creates a pleasant atmosphere where participants can enjoy an intense and relaxing experience. The sauna shower is typically divided into several rounds, with breaks in between giving the body time to adapt to the heat.
At Mobilsauna, we always have 1-2 out of 3 rounds as silent rounds, which means no talking and creating peace and quiet to relax 100%.
Saunagus vs Traditional Sauna
Although both saunagus and a traditional sauna use heat to promote relaxation and health, saunagus differs in the use of essential oils and the guided experience from the Master. This creates a more intense and therapeutic experience compared to a classic sauna, where the focus is on calm and warmth without the same sensory input.
